I Picked Up This Book Because: Tonight Show book club read

The Story:
What a freakin let down. I expected something much more dramatic. A lot happened to these characters but after the shooting nothing was as epic as I thought it would be. The story follows two families being raised in the 80s and 90s. These families are neighbors and frenemies. The story is told from several points of view and the timeline is somewhat fluid. To be clear this story was not badly written, there were a ton of storylines and the author did an excellent job keeping up with them, I was just… underwhelmed.
