This book series has become a comfort blanket for me. Having a crappy day? Turn on the next Stephanie Plum and have a laugh… or realize how lucky you are that your job doesn’t included blown up cars and people shooting at you.

I Picked Up This Book Because: Fan of the author
The Characters:
Andrea Grace:
Special Agent Sebastian Strand:
The Story:
Andrea Grace has very special skills that she has been warned not to use to help humans. They will take advantage of you and she has seen this first hand. Her anonymous help is noticed by Agent Strand and Andrea is forced to help Agent Strand solve the murder of his partner and a whole town.
I liked the dynamic between Andrea and Sebastian. There is instant attraction but it’s not acted on, in fact they both fight against it. I like how Andrea grows in her confidence and powers as the story progresses. I do hope we get to see more of them in the future.

Stillhouse Lake, Book 4
I Picked Up This Book Because: Continue the series.

The Story:
Gwen cut off the head of the snake in Wolfhunter River, she was just unaware that this snake has multiple heads.
Ms Caine has graced us with another well written twisty plot. Not only does she write incredible heroines but also excellent love to hate villains. I should also say heros because Conner, Sam and even Javier are fantastic in these stories. I started off reading this a little slowly. I was very shocked by the prologue and avoided reading at home late at night (when I tend to read) for a while but by the end I couldn't put it down. Who needs sleep, right?
I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next for this family. I honestly can’t imagine Ms Caine topping this installment.

I Picked Up This Book Because: I like the author/artist.
The Story:
I didn’t know there was another book by Ms Chetwynd but I’m so happy I found it. These little bug eyed characters make me laugh and steal my heart every time. I hope there is more in the future.

Virgin River, Book 2
I Picked Up This Book Because: Continue the series.
The Characters:
John “Preacher” Middleton:

Christopher, Jack, Mel, David, Mike, Liz, Rick, Brie
The Story:
So I went into this story thinking it was going to be Pracher’s book however its a lot more than that. Yes a lot of the story focused on Preacher, Paige, Christopher and Paige’s crazy husband but it also continued Mel & Jack’s story. Also Liz and Rick had a heartbreaking development. Mike has also moved to town and he is a welcome addition to the family. I hope this trend continues throughout the series as we get to know more residents. I love an ensemble cast.
